A University of Minnesota Morris professor has publicly vowed to desecrate the Eucharist. While the thought of our Lord being violated in such a way sickens me and brings me to tears, I would implore everyone to pray ardently for his soul and for his conversion (if not to the Church, at least to being a decent, respectful person), through the intercession of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament.

Oh that is outrageous.
This incident and potential act of unholiness will be in my prayers tonight.
I would hope that no self-repecting Catholic would lift a consecrated host for this moron! That's the only way to insure it.
I sort of wish the site you linked to would have offered an explanation of why this is so offensive for the folks who don't understand.
I was recently blessed as an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist - and Father warned us to keep an eye out for folks who do not consume. He'll go after 'em. No question.
