WFMW #2
You probably already do this, but just in case, it's a good tip!
Have you ever noticed that when a recipe calls for tomato paste, it's usually only one or two tablespoons? And that you can't buy it by the tablespoon?
What I do is buy a thing of tomato paste, and then lay out a sheet of plastic wrap. I put the tomato past on in rows by tablespoon and then cut between and wrap them up individually. I store them, individually wrapped, in a plastic container in my freezer. When a recipe calls for it, I take however much I need out and warm it in the microwave for just a few seconds and add it. Very easy! And when I start to run low, I just start over. It's great to add to curries, stews, soups, pasta, gives a nice little "oomph!"

That's a great idea! My husband actually found a tube of tomato paste at the grocery. It's great for those 1-tablespoon needs.
I've heard tell of these tubes of tomato paste, unfortunately I've never seen them sold in my area!
excellent idea! :)
That is a great idea. I would have never thought of that.
What a great idea! Aren't you a smartie pants? ;)
This is a great idea... the tubes are sold everywhere I shop... BUT ... they are costly! This is much more affordable!
I'm glad it was helpful!!
you're brilliant!! and here i've been dumping the rest of the can into a tupperware, shoving it into the fridge, all the while grumbling, "darn tomato paste, what a waste of 39 cents. i'll never use this before it goes bad!"
thanks!
Wonderful tip! Thanks for sharing,
